this is how we roll

Last Saturday I was heading over to my Moms to take the kids swimming. Along the way I stopped at a garage sale and saw a shopping cart!!  Not a plastic one but a full fledged metal mini shopping cart. And for only $4!  Woot Woot!!!  The kids have so much fun with it and best of all...pushing each other in it.

blankies

My kids all seem to have a love affair...with their blankies!!!

The worst of the 3 would be Carson.  I realize that I can not wean him from his blankie for good, so I am doing it in stages. Our first step is...it's not allowed in the car and must stay in the bedroom.  So far it hasn't made it to the car but does come out of the room a lot.

Cole was addicted to a paci and we weened him from that at 18 months.  that was easy.  I don't know why but this blankie thing tears at my heart a little more.  I think his blankie is the next best thing to his mommy.

Pictures like this never get old...

It's hard for me to accept the fact that we are done having babies.  I love her so much that I just want to bottle her up and keep her like this forever.  I tell Cole the same thing ever day too.  In fact each morning he runs into my room when he wakes up and says "look mom, i am bigger" because  he knows that while he is sleeping he is growing and that I don't like it.  How cute is that!!!

Carson's 3rd Birthday

This year we celebrated Carson's 3rd birthday at the splash park and the theme was Baseballs.  The theme was originally something else but we went to a birthday party in march and they had  an awesome food vendor.  So I quickly changed the theme to baseball and ordered the food cart (which was the coolest thing ever).  The kids had a great time ordering snow cones and hot dogs and rinsing off at the splash park.

On carson's official birthday day, I made him this chocolate bundt cake.  When Carson woke up from his nap and I heard Cole saying "Carsie, Carsie...mommy made you a butt cake"!  Ha, that made my day!! I think I will forever be calling them butt cakes!

Now on to the pics from the party:

My Carson is 3

Last week my baby boy turned 3!!

It's hard to believe that my little Carson is 3.  What does this mean???  He is finally old enough to play soccer and he is finally old enough to start preschool!!!  My little Carson wants to be big so bad and do all of the fun things his brother gets to do...and he finally can!!!

What is carson up to at 3?  Well, he is my little mischievous,  stubborn, Tasmanian devil.  You tell him not to do something and by god he will do it.  He will push his brothers buttons, he will wrestle with him and not give up, he will destroy anything in about 2 seconds flat, he must have a hearing problem cuz at times he doesn't listen, he is addicted and i mean addicted to milk and he is addicted to his blankie.

But, he is also that child that is so sweet and loving.  He is actually our quite kid who doesn't really like crowds and is scarred of people he doesn't know.  You would think he is this tough cookie, but really his is a mommas boy. We love him to the moon and back and can't wait to see how he grows this year.

Here are some pictures we had taken. He is one handsome little dude.

Our trip to California

A couple weeks ago the Perham Gang headed to California.  In the past we have stayed in Carlsbad but this year we rented a beach condo in Oceanside.  We loved our property, we loved that it was right on the beach, we loved that it was 2 bedrooms and we loved that we had a kitchen!!!  Travelling with 3 kids is hard but it's so much easier when you have space and a kitchen...and a mom that comes with us!

We arrived on a wednesday afternoon and headed to carlsbad for dinner at our favorite pizza joint.  It was just as good as we had remembered from last years visit.

Then on Thursday we hit Lego Land!!!  This is our third trip there and it gets better every time we go.  Why??  Because the boys get bigger and are able to do more things.

group pic with bob the builder made out of legos.

Cole was finally big enough to ride this roller coaster ride.  Let me tell you...I went on it first with Cole and I have not been on a roller coaster in a LONG TIME.  That drop was crazy.  how we convinced Cole to go on it a second time is beyond me.  We may of scarred him.

Carson loves airplanes so he was in heaven when he got to ride this.

But then he found out he wasn't old enough to drive the cars.  That broke our hearts.

Miss Caylee girl was finally let out of the stroller and had a great time playing around.  She really is a trooper.

Friday morning we headed to the san diego out of africa zoo.  the zoo was amazing and we had such a great time.  We scored some awesome weather during our trip.

Later that night we headed to the San Diego Padres game who just so happened to be playing the AZ Diamondbacks.  My mom stayed back with Caylers and we headed to the game with just the boys.  The boys had a lot of fun.  they ate cracker jacks, cotton candy, hot dogs and lord knows what else.  needless to say they had a great time and the stadium there is amazing.

the bridge outside of the stadium.  the kids got a kick out of this as we were over all the choo choo train tracks.  Heaven to my little carsie

Saturday was our last day.  My brother and his family drove down to spend the day with us.  We had such a fun time playing at the beach.  Caylee loved the sand and of course wanted to eat it.  So...i let her and eventually she got over and stopped eating it.....phew.  The boys loved playing in the ocean with their cousins.

 My nieces Ashlynn and Cami

We ended the day by walking down to the pier and having dinner at Ruby's diner.

We had a great time and are looking forward to next years trip!!
