Little Miss Ava turns 2!!

Little Miss Ava turned 2 today!!!! Tia told her when she turned two she could get earrings. Me and the boys had to go and watch Miss Ava get her ears pierced on her special day. Since Tia couldn't get there till after 5, I took the boys to the play area at the mall and hung out with Bobbi and her boys till Auntie Tia and Ava arrived. Once they arrived it was off to Claires!! It was so much fun to watch and Cole was super bummed that he couldn't get blue ones. Happy Birhtday Miss Ava - looking forward to the celebration on Saturday.

Cardinals Pre Season Game

Last night we went to the Cardinals pre season game. We had some extra tickets to the game so Chad invited some of his friends. We tailgated with Chad's brother and his cousin...and it was hot. But, we had a great time. Chad was super excited to get his picture with Big Red!!! We got to see our season ticket holder friends and are super excited that they have pictures of Chad and I at the western divison final game. She is bringing them to the next game!!
Check out our spread - Cousin Rogie grilled carne asada and it was awesome!

Go Cards!!
Mattie and Big Red!

Hey Batter Batter!

Chad called the other day to tell me that he had bought 2 tickets to the baseball game this coming Sunday. Who is his date - Cole! Chad is taking Cole to a baseball game all by himself!!!!! I was so tickeld when he told me and I didn't have the heart to tell him that we were supposed to go to a birthday party that day. I guess we will have to change our RSVP. Chad is so excited and has the day all planned out. Snacks before they leave, lunch at the ball park and...kids get to run the bases on Sundays!!! So, me and the boys have been working overtime at home getting pumped for the big day! Below are some pictures of the boys playing baseball out back. Looking forward to spending some one on one time with Carson!

Carson's 1st hair cut!

Carson got his first hair cut today. He was such a trooper. He wanted nothing to do with the chair so he sat on mommy's lap. Once he knew I wasn't leaving him, he did awesome!!

The makings of Shepherds Pie

As most of you know Cole is my little helper. He loves to help with anything he can. Since he woke up from his nap early, he helped me make dinner the other day...sherphers pie. We made two - 1 for that night and 1 for the freezer.

Step 1 peel the potatoes

Step 2 mix the veggies and ground beef
Step 3 - mash the potatoes
Wha La!!

New book

Cole picked out a new book this weekend at the bookstore. It’s called memorable moments in baseball and it is not a kids book. He picked it out because it’s in the shape of a baseball and it happend to be in our path on the way to the kids section. This is the book that Chad gets to read to him as I know nothing about the sport. I know enough to get me through a game but Chad seems to know EVERYTHING. Chad can state every fact and figure about everyone, every stadium, etc...

If your child is into sports I would suggest getting this book. Not only does Cole enjoy the book but Daddy does too!!

Watercolor fun!

Since the weather seems to be getting a little cooler in the morning we took advantage of hanging outside today with watercolors!!! Carson had fun with the paper at first but then he seemed to enjoy painting on my leg instead.

Cardinals traning camp!

The Perham Gang headed up to Flagstaff for the weekend with Aunti Tia and Ava for Cardinals traning camp. Tia's parents have a cabin up in Oak Creek so we all stayed there. It was a jammed packed weekend!! Friday morning we went to traning camp then took the kids home for a quick nap before we headed back up for the afternoon camp. Saturday was the official red/white scrimmage so we knew it was going to be busy. We got there around 8:30am to get our spot (2 1/5 hours before it started) and got the last section on the lawn. We saved a big spot as our family friends the Dumas' met us up as well. The kids had fun playing and soaking in the sun and we had fun hanging out.

On our way home Sunday, we stopped at the Rainbow Trout Farm to take the kids fishing. Ava and Colie each got to catch a fish!! Cole seemed to be pretty scared once we acutally caught a fish and saw it flopping around. Ava on the other hand thought it was cute!! One of the fish didn't make it - when Cole looked in the bucket he thought it was funny that one of the fish was 'upside down'.

We are looking forward to making Cardinals Training camp a yearly trip!!

Monster Jam!!!

Chad and I took Cole on a date last night to monster jam. Cole loves monster jam and wants to watch it all the time. Good thing this day and age has tevo or who knows what we would do. Not only does he watch it we have a ton of the trucks that we play with. When we heard they were coming to town we couldn't wait to get tickets. The day started early as we the pit party was from 2-5. At the pit party you could see all the trucks up front and get autographs from the drivers. Cole was super excited to see all of his favorite trucks up close - blue thunder, grave digger, maximun destrucion...we really wanted to see el torro loco but he was not in the show:( ((see i told you we watch it alot)). After the pit party we went to dinner at the yard house, watcher the water show at westgate then headed back to the stadium for MONSTER JAM!!!

People told us it would be loud so grandma linda provided us with those squishy ear plugs. When we got inside we saw that they sold these cute little ear muffs for the kids so we bought a pair for Cole. Well, it's a good thing we did. I about died when it started. It was so loud that i had to put ear plugs in myself. Those squishy things wouldn't have cut it for Cole but the ear muffs did great. The ear muffs were the cutest things as they squished his cheeks together.

We had a great time and Cole hung in there the entire time. The show eneded at 10pm and COle passed out about 3 minutes into the car ride home. Looking forward to taking both boys next year.
